Best @ $500
The $500 build relies on a relatively low-end AMD Athlon X4 860K quad-core CPU able to hit 4GHz out of the box. This relatively inexpensive processor frees up some extra room in the budget, which permitted DarkBreeze to place a Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 GPU with 4GB of GDDR5 on Gigabyte motherboard. The rest of the PC parts are budget-oriented choices, but are nonetheless decent quality components that come together to create a balanced PC build capable of playing modern games with reasonable settings and frame rates.

Re: Best @ $500
That's a really cool build, I think the only thing I'd change is the hard drive. If I was going to go with a Mechanical as my main drive to start off with I'd get a WD Black, I have had much better luck with those.

This is mostly reasonable for a $500 PC, I know about ten years ago it would cost double that amount easily.
